EDV

Electronic diversity visa (EDV) is an application form that can be filled by any applicant residing in other countries or in the US to have an work permit and legal residence in the USA. Millions of people worldwide fill up the form but very few manage to get the lottery and be able to move to the USA. People from developing countries are the most interested in the system. It's been running for more than a decade now.

The eligibility for one individual to get enrolled in it is to have completed 12th grade or have some work experience of 5 years. Nevertheless it's a lottery system so even a highly qualified individual will have equal chance as a less qualified one. So people are interested as they feel USA is the country full of opportunity and if they manage to get lucky to get the EDV then they can improve their family status.
